ABOUT THE ROLE

Purpose is seeking an Associate Director, Digital Campaigns to join our global Campaigns team and help us to create an open, just, and thriving world.

In this role you will lead projects, manage internal and external stakeholders, and build campaign strategies and tactics that shift narratives and move people to action across a variety of issue areas. You will be developing communications & marketing plans to bring advocacy campaign messages and calls-to-action to target supporter audiences, both online and offline. This will include producing advocacy campaign assets and tactics: from writing emails, mastering social media for good to organizing engaging offline activities. 

You should have proficiency with creating digital strategy across all major platforms, and serving as a key representative with clients and stakeholders, including key staff of major foundations, NGOs, and corporations. You should have a demonstrated track record and/or interest in social sector organizing and advocacy and the ability to center equity and inclusion across your teams and deliverables. 

This is a Full-time Contract position for a duration of 3 months, with possibility of extension depending on business need. This is a remote position and we are open to folks based on the East Coast. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the development and execution of multi-channel, multi-region campaigns that demonstrate best in class use of platforms to achieve high-level goals
  • Work with team members to build, test and launch digital products, content and messaging, ensuring we remain sector-leading and innovative
  • Create and lead on organic and paid media strategies, that leverage a high-level of knowledge of how to engage target audiences in a variety of desired actions
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of digital and social media channels, including Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google and other programmatic networks. TikTok experience is especially valuable.
  • Lead the development of new ways to engage audiences through a thorough understanding of key entry points and work with the team to surface opportunities presented by research
  • Develop and present professional and high quality client-facing deliverables, such as strategy presentations with clear flow and focused recommendations, campaign plans outlining goals, audience, channels, partnerships, timeline etc.
  • Launch social media and programmatic advertising campaigns -- including placing buys, tracking spend, and reporting -- with the assistance of associate Digital campaigners across geographies.
  • In coordination with the Impact, Learning & Measurement team, design and execute tests that optimize and learn on behalf of our projects and clients. 

 

ABOUT YOU

  • You have 8+ years of experience within an agency setting and/or within advocacy, organizing, digital activism, public policy, or creative campaigning.
  • Experience with digital media planning and trading including social (especially Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) SEO and programmatic -- traditional TV, out of home, and CRM-based influencer marketing experience are a bonus!
  • Ability to work and lead project teams under pressure and tight deadlines, and stay organized to get a campaign out the door
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrable strong analytical and strategic thinking and campaign planning skills
  • You are passionate about following the latest digital engagement trends -- especially in issue and advocacy spaces, tracking campaign performance
