EMEA Controller

Why We Have This Role

Qualtrics is on the lookout for a proactive, collaborative Financial Controller supporting the EMEA region to be based in our Dublin office. The EMEA Controller will lead and be responsible for the general accounting functions in EMEA. This will include performing a timely month-end/quarterly/annual close process, variance analysis, financial reporting and statutory compliance across all of our EMEA entities. The right candidate will streamline financial and operational processes, including implementation of new systems & processes to accommodate growth, and have outstanding communication & interpersonal skills. Adaptability, maintaining standards, and a positive approach will be paramount.

Things You’ll Do

  • Manage and lead the EMEA Accounting Team with responsibility for recruitment, goal-setting, performance management, and identifying training and development needs.
  • Own monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes for the EMEA region for over a dozen legal entities.
  • Review journal entries, general ledger accounts and account reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare entity level financial statements and assist in consolidated financials statements.
  • Ensure accounting and financial controls are applied consistently throughout the region.
  • Manage and comply with local government reporting requirements and tax filings across all EMEA entities.
  • Work directly with auditors for group and statutory audits.
  • Build a positive rapport with our US & APJ based Finance Teams across Accounting, Tax and FP&A.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Ad hoc finance and accounting project work as required.

 

What We’re Looking For On Your CV

  • Minimum 7+ years progressive finance/accounting experience required
  • ACA/ACCA, CPA qualified (or similar)
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Masters degree is a plus.
  • Experience working in Big 4/consulting audit functions preferred
  • High comfort level with accounting and ERP systems (prefer NetSuite experience)
  • Strong finance background with experience working in a tech finance function
  • Experience leading a high performing team
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent mentorship and leadership skills
  • Comfortable in an environment of rapid change and growth
  • High degree of organisation and efficiency with demonstrated attention to detail
  • One Team mindset, excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
