About the Role:

As the Senior People & Culture Business Partner, your role is pivotal in shaping the employee experience and driving people-related priorities. Collaborating with business executives to develop and implement strategic business and employee initiatives, you will be an integral part of the business and a sounding board for your key stakeholders.

You will proactively provide guidance and coaching on a wide range of HR, organisational development and employee experience matters. A strong focus of this role will include anticipating, identifying and facilitating resolution of ER and IR matters, with support from the business partnering team.

Building strong stakeholder relationships to help guide and influence the business on both short- and long-term priorities and developing leadership capabilities will be crucial aspects of your role. You will also contribute to organisational development, workforce culture, employee engagement, and talent management.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Invention: Continuously explore innovative approaches to HR practices and business challenges, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Propose creative solutions to address talent challenges and enhance employee experience.
  • Consulting and Advising: Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing strategic guidance on people-related matters. Leverage consulting skills to diagnose organizational issues, recommend solutions, and drive change.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform HR strategies, workforce planning, and talent management. Leverage metrics and insights to drive informed decisions.
  • Organisational Development and Culture: Contribute to organisational development initiatives such as change management, talent development and succession planning. Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. Foster a positive workforce culture that promotes Seeing Machine’s values, collaboration, innovation and engagement.
  • Change Management: Lead change initiatives by developing change management plans, communicating effectively, and ensuring successful adoption of new processes or systems.
  • Employee Engagement: Champion initiatives that boost employee engagement, foster a positive work environment, and align with the company’s values.
  • Collaborate: Build purposeful networks across the organisation to plan and implement the roll-out of organisation-wide People & Culture initiatives.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate closely with business executives and corporate units to support the effective management of people across employee lifecycle, aligned to business goals. Manage and oversee specific Australian employment requirements to ensure compliance e.g. The Fair Work Commission, WorkSafe ACT etc.
Professional and Personal Attributes:
  • Relevant experience of at least 8-10 years in a generalist HR role, preferably within the Automotive, Engineering or Technology sector.
  • Well-versed with Employment laws requirements
  • Demonstrable ability to formulate and manage strong professional relationships internally & externally across various levels.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a cross functional team that is geographically dispersed.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels
  • Strong consulting, analytical and problem-solving skills
