About the role:
As an Account Director- Federal you focus on prospecting for new deals and customers in the US Federal Government and Defense Industrial Base (DIB), responsible for deal progression and closing. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying, prospecting, and nurturing new business opportunities within the SaaS industry. Your focus will be on promoting our software products and services, understanding the unique needs of our federal customers, and delivering tailored solutions.
Candidate should be located within the DMVC area (DC, Maryland or Virginia).
Your contribution will be:
Sales Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify new business opportunities and markets, thinking big to drive revenue growth, developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies that align with company objectives.
- Conduct thorough research, capture prospect roadmaps during discovery calls to fully understand long term company objectives, the needs and pain points to present customized software solutions.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Act as a customer advocate within the company, respond and route all queries/questions within assigned customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
- Build and execute on territory plans to drive seamless execution of new logo pursuits.
- Convert leads into opportunities, and subsequently into customers, by utilizing the Nintex sales process and the sales support resources.
Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:
- Utilize strong product knowledge and technical acumen to conduct effective, high-level demos before bringing in Sales Engineers, connecting prospects’ business objectives to specific Nintex solutions.
- Draw on value messaging to conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our software, emphasizing their value and benefits.
Sales Pipeline Management:
- Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Keep accurate records of interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in Salesforce
Negotiation and Closing:
- Overcome objections, negotiate terms and pricing, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Close deals by understanding customer needs and demonstrating how our products or services meet those needs.
Collaboration:
- Cultivate and leverage relationships with Channel Partners to source and close additional opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other departments to ensure a smooth/seamless transition of new customers to ensure customer success and satisfaction.
Market and Industry Knowledge:
- Stay updated on federal government trends, competitor offerings, market/product dynamics and emerging technologies, sharing relevant information with customers, answer their questions, and close competitive deals.
To be successful, we think you need:
- 4-5 years full sales cycle experience
- Be based in DC, Virginia or Maryland
- Experience selling SaaS solutions
