This lead role will work with both the billing and cash applications groups within our accounts receivable team to provide agility and support to both groups when the need arises. This role will also be responsible for weekly and monthly reporting as well as assisting with UAT on process improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of billing and cash application specialists, providing support and training
- Troubleshoot issues with little oversight and provide guidance to AR team on how to resolve
- Timely delivery of baseline reporting, including enhancing current reporting
- Tier 1 & Tier 2 customer support for Billing & Cash Applications
- Accurately apply cash to customers accounts, resolve issues that arise, and reconcile activity
- Create accurate invoice and credit memos for customers in an efficient manner, providing support for troubleshooting customer issues and leading communications to resolve issues. Assist with reconciliation activities.
- Support timely month and quarter end close, including reconciliation preparation and review, management reporting, and preparation of journal entries.
- Performing UAT support on projects for the AR team
- Maintenance of policy and process documentation
- Provide agility and support both Billing & Cash Applications for volume or staffing coverage
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or accounting, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience in a billing or cash application related role, preferably with a high-growth SaaS company or software industry
- Experience training and providing guidance to a team
- Experience with Excel
- Salesforce and NetSuite knowledge are a plus
- Ability to work independently and move fast, adapt, and thrive in a dynamic and fast changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating successfully with diverse cross- functional teams
- Team player attitude to assist with quarter end close activities when it’s “all hands on deck”
