The Global Promise & Speed team is seeking a highly analytical, action-oriented, and collaborative Manager to help drive improvements across Wayfair’s delivery network. In this role, you will transform complex business challenges into actionable insights and data-driven solutions that influence key operational outcomes. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with deep data analysis and stakeholder engagement, capable of crafting a compelling narrative from both quantitative and qualitative inputs.

The Global Promise and Speed team within Transportation & Delivery is responsible for improving the actual speed of Wayfair’s delivery to customers while ensuring that orders arrive on time. To do so, we leverage an end-to-end view of the supply chain and an intensive handling of data to identify key opportunity areas, build business cases, and work with partners in Operations on implementation. Further, we work closely with Tech teams to design and deploy new capabilities that evolve our capabilities and improve our ability to deliver Speed cost-efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of analyst(s) to lead improvements in the speed of our large parcel network, both in North America and the UK.  
  • Leverage a deep understanding of Wayfair’s supply chain network to design new initiatives aimed at improving our speed and/or capabilities.
  • Perform analysis across large data sets to gain performance insights, highlight operational opportunities, and develop targeted action plans.
  • Leverage critical thinking and data handling to examine and challenge existing practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and gain buy-in from stakeholders on proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Operations and Tech to support the rollout of new operational initiatives and/or tech capabilities. 
  • Build dashboards to translate large data sets into driving insights and action.
  • Monitor KPIs and assess how we’re making progress against business objectives.

What You'll Need 

  • Master's and/or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or similar quantitative fields.
  • Advanced experience with GBQ or SQL, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI).
  • Strong communication, and proven ability to work with cross functional partners to advance projects or objectives.
  • Experience in managing an analytical team to drive business outcomes.
  • High attention to detail and thorough attention to data integrity to deliver trusted insights.
  • Ability to navigate an environment of continuous improvement working through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or E-Commerce is a plus.

 

An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy: All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
