You will ... 

Role SummaryOwn leadership and strategic oversight for a Procurement Pod/Region, ensuring team performance, process discipline, and cross-functional alignment across DCs, 3PLs, and national procurement.

People Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–8 buyers, including weekly 1:1s, performance check-ins, and structured feedback. Assist in PTO coverage
  • Partner with the Operations Manager to create and manage development plans, conduct performance discussions, and support buyer career progression

Responsible for training, onboarding, and competency-building for new team members in the pod

Strategic & Operational Oversight
  • Oversee and direct the pod’s weekly procurement operations at a program level, ensuring the team delivers on targets and deadlines
  • Act as the final escalation point for all pod/region issues involving DCs, 3PLs, and strategy teams
  • Drive process governance, ensuring all pod buyers consistently follow tools, workflows, SLAs, and documentation requirements. Partner in the execution and follow through of CI Initiatives
Cross-Pod Responsibilities
  • Ensure pod alignment with national procurement strategies, policies, and operational standards
  • Participate in national forums to evaluate inventory risks, review performance trends, and shape future process enhancements
  • Represent the pod in conversations around network-wide optimization, waste reduction strategy, new SKU rollout governance, and replenishment methodology improvements

At a minimum, you have... 

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required 
  • 3+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in produce, protein, or other food products
  • People Management experience is a plus!
  • Inventory Management experience is a plus! 
  • Quantitative and analytical experience(either through education or professional experience)  including solid comfort in Excel
  • Knowledge & interest in food/food service is encouraged

 Arizona Pay Range$73,200—$82,350 USD
