Visual Merchandising Associate

Brief Overview of Position

Wayfair's Physical Retail team is reinventing the shopping experience for Home, curating our portfolio of furniture, decor, housewares, and home improvement categories into one store- come be a part of it! The Visual Associate role is responsible for the daily maintenance of all in-store Visual Merchandising initiatives (e.g. Presentation, Marketing/Signage, Merchandise Flow, Visual Operations) as we bring the in-store experience for the Wayfair brand to life. We are seeking an individual with strong organizational, multitasking and time-management skills with great attention to detail while ensuring in-store presentations align with the seasonal strategy for the Wayfair organization. This position will play a significant role in helping build and shape the internal Visual Merchandising team structure and execution of processes for all future Wayfair stores. This position will report directly to the Visual Merchandising Manager. 

Essential Functions

  • Assist with Visual Merchandising tasks such as floorsets, product replenishment, signage/marketing and maintaining company visual standards (including folding & steaming textiles, bed making and basic cleanliness tasks as needed). 
  • Ensure store presentations are as close to the directive as possible. 
  • Use of company provided technology related to Visual Merchandising and Store Operations. 
  • Provide an authentic and friendly customer experience that exemplifies Wayfair's commitment to relentless customer focus. 
  • Be open to receiving feedback and direction from store leaders around brand presentation to deliver Wayfair standards on a daily basis. 
  • Assist all customers in store by providing helpful information, guidance, and support in sales transactions. 
  • Assist with replenishment efforts in store to address store instocks.  

Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Visual retail experience, specific to maintaining presentations and resetting departments. Required
  • 1-3 years Customer experience in a retail setting. Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Basic understanding of how to use technology and a willingness to learn new programs. (High Proficiency)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and some holidays. (High Proficiency)
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating professional maturity. (Medium Proficiency)
