We are seeking a highly motivated associate to join our Regulatory, Contract & Inbound Customs Compliance team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the development, administration, and compliance of contracts, while also contributing to risk management efforts and cross-functional collaboration. This position offers the opportunity for cross-training in the import customs compliance space, providing broader exposure to regulatory processes and global trade operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contract Creation & Administration: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts for various CastleGate services, ensuring they adhere to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Issue Resolution: Help resolve contract-related and customer-facing issues throughout the contract lifecycle by working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Support contract and regulatory risk identification by helping track potential issues, escalating concerns, and assisting with documentation to mitigate risk.
  • Contract Reporting: Maintain accurate records of contract status and performance. Prepare reports to highlight key metrics, upcoming deadlines, and compliance updates.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., legal, commercial, operations) by responding to contract-related inquiries and providing timely administrative support.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring that all contracts and related business activities comply with applicable regulatory standards and internal policies. Support organizational decision-making by helping to assess and respond to regulatory considerations as situations arise, ensuring actions taken align with relevant legal and compliance requirements.
  • Customs Cross-Training & Support: Receive cross-training in import customs compliance to build foundational knowledge of international trade regulations.
  • Assist in responding to onboarding and import-related questions from internal stakeholders (such as the Supplier and Commercial teams) and external partners, including the Customs Broker.
  • Help coordinate and clarify import documentation requirements and support resolution of basic customs entry or compliance inquiries.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve contract lifecycle management by identifying inefficiencies and proposing enhancements to increase operational effectiveness.

  • Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, collaborate, comprehend, and effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results in a matrix organization
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Is analytical and has strong organizational skills
  • Experience in tariff management and tender management is a plus
  • Strong computer skills in google applications 
  • Ability to work independently and under time constraints
  • Understand department process flow to determine best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
  • Other Duties:

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct policy of the Wayfair LLC and CastleGate Logistics
  • Any other job-related tasks as assigned by their reporting manager
  • Any special projects that may be required to support broader initiatives 
  • To attend conference calls outside of traditional USA business hours to accommodate other GEO’s as required
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • NVOCC / Ocean Carrier experience is a plus
