This role is responsible for overseeing the creation, revision, and maintenance of all quality management documentation, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards across the DC sites whilst maintaining robust version control and document management systems to ensure all materials are current and accessible. Responsible for leading, managing, and mentoring a team of process writers to ensure the delivery of high-quality documentation. Ensuring that Health and Safety standards and Food Safety standards are adhered to at all times.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Coach, develop, and support team members to build capability, ensuring they provide timely accurate Systems and Process KPIs, meet project standards and performance targets.
  • Review and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including version control and updates.
  • Evaluate and improve departmental processes and documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with relevant standards (e.g., Food Safety, Health and Safety, BRCGS).
  • Lead the change management process for documentation, collaborating with Writers and stakeholders to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead and support Lean Six Sigma projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing updates on progress, risks, and escalations.
  • Facilitate process workflow modelling to enhance automation, process improvements, and service levels.
  • Design, monitor, and report on project KPIs, adapting them to meet business goals and advising team members on their metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders cross functionally, acting as the escalation point for Writers and ensuring alignment with senior management on current projects and achievements.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve standardisation issues, share best practices, and drive compliance.
  • Ensure that all processes align with the delivery of high-quality products and services to customers.
  • Track and manage major incident processes, ensuring adherence and conducting post-mortem reviews.
  • Conduct audits and follow through on compliance actions related to food safety, health and safety, and other specified standards.
  • Develop and execute Systems and Process site strategies aligned with broader business KPIs.
  • Work strategically to ensure that work streams deliver tangible benefits to the business.
  • Extract reports and provide high-level data analysis for review to support informed decision-making.
  • Role model operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement, embodying the Company’s values.

Who You Are:

  • Proven prior experience in a team leadership position
  • Strong experience in process writing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt would be a bonus to have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field would be advantageous 
  • Project management abilities in using your excellent time management and strong organisational skills 
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency in documentation software and control, plus version control systems
  • Audit compliance knowledge

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday.
