The Team & Role

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Billing Operations Analyst to join our team. The Billing Operations Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of the billing process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change. The Billing Team is focused on improving our day to day operations and is looking for someone to be a part of this transformation. You will work to contribute to our month end close efficiencies and overall metrics. Additionally, you will learn and act on complex billing structures and cross collaborate with the internal quote to cash teams. Overall, the role of a Billing Operations Analyst offers a dynamic and challenging environment where individuals can leverage their analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity to drive operational excellence. This role will report directly to the Billing Operations Manager.

This is a hybrid position, so you'll work both remotely and in the office.

What you’ll do

  • You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the billing process, from ensuring subscriptions are set up correctly to creating and billing  invoices. This includes ensuring that billing is conducted accurately and timely, and resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise. 
  • When discrepancies or errors are identified, you'll investigate the root cause, rectify billing discrepancies, and communicate with internal stakeholders or customers to resolve billing issues promptly. This may involve issuing credit memos and  providing explanations for billing discrepancies. 
  • Billing operations intersect with various departments such as sales, finance, customers, and IT. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address billing-related inquiries, resolve issues, and help to enhance billing efficiency.
  • Assist the team with month end close activities. 
  • Handle billing related email requests that come through our accounts receivable email inbox. 

Your experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in Billing or other quote to cash team
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience using Google sheets or Excel 

 

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in using the Zuora Billing Tool
  • Experience in vendor forms or portal set up
  • Worked in the SaaS industry
