This position is employed by Airbnb Inc., however the role will provide direct support to Airbnb.org, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on emergency response and provides temporary housing for people in times of crisis. Airbnb.org is governed by an independent Board of Directors and its mission is to unlock the power of sharing space, resources, and support in times of need. From Australia to France, hosts have opened up their homes and helped provide accommodations to over 200,000 people. The Difference You Will Make:

The Brand Marketing Manager will play a critical role in helping to build the brand marketing strategy for Airbnb.org. You will be responsible for developing and implementing brand marketing programs and campaigns alongside leading our event strategy focused on increased awareness, growth and retention for Airbnb.org supporters. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as PR/communications, growth marketing, host community, design, product, public policy, legal and to bring brand marketing campaigns and events to life. 

You are creative, innovative and collaborative while also having analytical skills to measure effectiveness. You have excellent communication skills and can think outside the box. 

A Typical Day: 

  • Define and articulate our brand positioning and messaging, ensuring consistency across all marketing communications.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand marketing strategies that align with both Airbnb.org and Airbnb, Inc.’s marketing objectives.
  • Lead brand activation initiatives, including events, sponsorships, and partnerships, to drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Develop and manage brand guidelines, ensuring that all marketing materials adhere to the brand standards.
  • Collaborate with the Creative and Design team to build and rollout all branding assets such as logos, taglines, visual elements, and marketing collaterals.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling brand campaigns and storytelling that resonate with our target audiences. 
  • Monitor and analyze brand performance metrics and provide regular reporting to stakeholders about share of voice and brand positioning.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and consumer insights to identify new brand opportunities and innovative strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and partners, including creative agencies and media outlets.
  • Collaborate with the PR/Communication team to help build a robust PR strategy and ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across earned media channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Creative, Design and Product to drive brand campaigns. 

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, PR/communications with a focus on brand strategy and execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively convey brand messages.
  • Event design and management experience. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and consumer insights.
  • Proficient in using brand analytics tools and platforms.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for building and evolving brands.
  • Deep understanding of audience segmentation and ability to build brand campaigns for specific audiences. 
  • Experience doing brand marketing and strategy for social impact or social sector related work is a plus.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range$109,000—$128,000 USD
