Category Specialist - Mandarin
Our OpportunityChewy is looking for a Category Specialist (Business-Fluent in Mandarin) to support the operations of our Category Management team from our Boston, MA office location. We are in need of specific language abilities with Mandarin and English at a business communication level; this is a core requirement to be considered.
You will support specific categories; responsibilities include handling vendor ticket resolution, promotions setup, new vendor & new SKU onboarding and new assortment onboarding. The Category Specialist will often be the first point of contact for vendors; it's crucial to deliver high quality, thoughtful service to our vendors. You will directly craft our vendor partners and customers experience, which in turn, builds the Chewy brand.
A successful candidate will implement and deliver priorities in an organized fashion and according to service level agreements (SLAs). You will consistently deliver routine tasks that support broader category strategies and maintain vendor relationships through meaningful situations. In this role you will showcase your strong verbal & written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to absorb information & experiences quickly and apply findings, and be able to work well with internal and external partners. This role will challenge you to be flexible, solution-oriented, and have a customer focused mentality.
What You'll Do
- Resolve vendor tickets on a daily/weekly basis in line with our SLAs
- Set up and complete promotions as per category manager direction
- Ensure new vendors / new SKUs are onboarded according to SLAs; troubleshoot issues and advance when vital
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, private label, finance, catalog and promotion teams
What You'll Need
- Proficient at a business level in Mandarin and English.
- Completion of a BS/BA degree
- 0-1+ years of experience with a preference in eCommerce, buying, account management, product management, category management, operations, analytics, finance or marketing
- Good analytical abilities and problem-solving skills (Excel, SQL is a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication, self-starter with a bias for action, attention to detail, proven time, data and interpersonal leadership skills.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
