We are scaling an early-stage venture at the forefront of SpaceTech and currently seeking a Cloud Architect to join us.You will be responsible for designing, building, and overseeing cloud computing architecture for the organization. You will work closely with various stakeholders from Tech Team to understand business requirements, develop cloud strategies, and implement solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. Your scope of activities : 

• Cloud Strategy Development: Lead the development of cloud strategies and roadmaps in collaboration with key stakeholders to align with the company’s objectives and business requirements.
• Solution Design: Architect scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, ensuring they meet business needs and comply with industry standards.
• Infrastructure Management: Design and implement cloud infrastructure, including computing, storage, networking, and security components, using tools such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Application Deployment: Develop and implement strategies for the deployment, management, and monitoring of cloud-based applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions comply with security policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices for data protection and privacy.
• Automation and Optimization: Automate cloud infrastructure deployment, scaling, and management processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively manage and optimize cloud infrastructure performance.
• Cost Management: Optimize cloud resource usage and costs, implementing strategies for cost-effective cloud operations and scalability.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and best practices to ensure consistent implementation and support.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with cloud service providers and third-party vendors to ensure service quality and alignment with business needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance cloud solutions.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or related roles.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
• Fluent in English (German would be a plus).
