The Opportunity: 

At Payments, Credit Risk and Collections (“PCRC”) in Finance, we are proud to be the gatekeepers of Agoda’s money. Our job is two-fold; help decide who Agoda should advance money to and how to collect what we are owed. As part of this, CRC assesses and manages Agoda’s counterparty credit risk, collects payments and tax invoices for select products globally while also managing relationships with Agoda’s global risk solution providers and debt collection agencies.Credit Risk and Collections function is looking for Collection & Chargeback Analysts to work on various aspects of chargeback and collection including but not limited to processing chargebacks and disputes at scale through the Mastercard infrastructure, data management, preparation of process reports and working on collection related back-office activities.

 In this Role, you’ll get to: 

  • Manage Mastercard chargebacks and disputes with an analytical focus on efficiency and success.
  • Recover funds by addressing challenging cases and employing problem-solving skills.
  • Provide service to internal and external stakeholders on collection and invoice issues, resolving discrepancies.
  • Analyze and respond to complex email queries promptly and accurately.
  • Record and update activities, chargeback status, amounts, and dates in trackers.
  • Create Excel reports, navigate Agoda's internal systems, and troubleshoot partner queries for faster recovery.
  • Collaborate with the Manager on chargeback, collections projects, and analytics for improved efficiency.
  • Learn to operate internal back-office systems and relevant bank portals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

What you’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 0 - 2 years of work experience, preferably in chargeback, payment systems, or financial services.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset for challenging chargeback situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (V-lookup, Pivots), with a quick learning ability.
  • Independent worker adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

It’s Great if you have:

  • Basic Financial and payment system literacy, including chargeback infrastructure understanding.
  • SQL and dashboarding skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Comfortable working in a global, multicultural, and fast-paced environment with a desire to learn,grow and adapt.
