Compliance Tech Delivery Manager

About the role:
We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Technology Delivery Manager. The candidate’s primary focus is to help develop scalable processes to identify and effectively manage financial crime risks and regulatory compliance across a range of existing and new product types, markets and integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously evaluate and identify gaps – via audit findings, horizon scanning for new China regulations, industry guidance or emergent typologies, or independently – in current risk systems, policies and procedures, then recommend and lead enhancements and process improvements.
- Identify current fraud trends and Regulator focus on the China market
- Identify and understand the risks associated with the Company’s customer portfolio to create and strengthen risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with local China SAFE & PBOC regulation.
- Implement risk monitoring models in relevant tools to ensure effective and efficient monitoring.
- Scale risk operational processes by implementing and driving changes in procedures and tooling.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic vendor partnerships to enhance the overall program.
- Contribute to scoping, resourcing, budgeting and organization efforts for Compliance initiatives.
- Communicate and coordinate with our partners – both internally and externally, e.g., 3rd party vendors – about our compliance program and expectations.
- Work closely with respective stakeholders to execute and deliver on Compliance’s roadmap and key strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with other product teams to evaluate new products and features, define proper controls for them, and ensure their implementation goes as planned.
- Work with internal stakeholders to prepare operationally ahead of new product and feature launches.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project statuses, risks, and issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project or product management, technology delivery, or a related role, with a focus on compliance or regulatory technology, or a minimum of 4 years of experience working in compliance, risk management, trust and safety, and/or fraud prevention. Experience in China licensed payments or financial institutions is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Preference will be given to Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields. Further preference to advanced degrees. Proven experience is more important.
- Skills: The candidate must be familiar with local China (i.e. SAFE & PBOC) regulatory compliance requirements and standards. Have proven experience in managing complex projects, demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, is able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and have strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proficiency with various analytical, project management, fraud prevention, and KYC platforms/tools/software is also preferred.
