About the team
The communications and policy team is a vital part of the business. It is this team’s job to effectively communicate the positive impact Deliveroo is having for customers, restaurants, shops and riders, by offering the flexible on demand work people want and bringing world-leading food and shopping to people when and where they want it.
The Consumer Communications Team is responsible for the B2C external communications strategy with a particular focus on PR & Influencer marketing, working in close collaboration with Brand Social, Corporate Communications and Marketing teams.
About the role
Deliveroo is looking for a communications professional with 3-5 years of experience working for consumer-facing brands or services at an agency or in-house.
The Consumer Comms Manager will help devise and implement the Consumer Comms strategy and activations with the support of external PR & Influencer agencies. This role is best suited to a communications expert who embraces creative thinking, is curious, adapts to a constantly evolving industry and can manage multiple projects and internal stakeholders simultaneously.
The role is based in our central french offices in Paris.
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Head of Consumer Communications & Brand Social, you will:
- Manage day to day press and influencer relations (national & local TV, radio, lifestyle, professional & trade media) and identify key contacts and new editorial opportunities in French press to build and nurture relationships.
- Work with the agency on consumer insight-led creative ideas and communications strategies to support new partner, service or product announcements in a way that makes them exciting to media and customers.
- Day to day collaboration with external PR & Influencer agencies, in particular on ideation, story planning, journalist or influencer follow up & reporting.
- Work collaboratively with local Marketing, Commercial and Ops teams to ensure comms ideas support market-level goals and strategic priorities.
- Liaise with Legal and Compliance teams to approve campaigns and new product development when relevant.
- Draft responses and statements for media enquiries where needed.
- Support the planning & execution of big PR stunts, events or partnerships to support marketing moments or business priorities.
- Draft engaging copy (press releases, social, in app & CRM) to support comms activations across multiple channels.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience developing and launching consumer-facing campaigns (ideally within a high-growth, consumer-facing brand).
- Fluent English and Native French
- You will be attuned to setting KPIs, evaluating and improving the success of campaigns to report on this internally.
- You are a natural team player who loves food and understands the role it can play in culture.
