Role: Content Marketing Manager

About the role:

We have been appointed to partner with one of our clients, an internationally known B2B organisation in the event sector, to drive their Brand and Content marketing pillar forward within their Healthcare division. The portfolio consists of 5x pillars to successfully drive their marketing activities. The Brand and Content marketing pillar will focus on elevating our client's brand, to drive brand engagement and awareness and to grow audience engagement. The team will implement digital best practices, own content development and strategy across the digital marketing ecosystem, and enhance audience engagement through all digital touchpoints. Reporting to the Head of Brand & Content, the Digital Content & Audience Development Manager is responsible in using content to acquire new audience and engaging with audience, by developing, managing, and executing complex marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels across search, social, display, email, our client’s website and PPC. The Digital Content & Audience Development Manager will grow the audience and build engagement by identifying relevant content, being close to industry trends and distributing pieces, articles and information that the audience is interested in across all digital channels. It will be your responsibility to engage with the internal content teams, collaborate with all functions within the marketing team and work closely with the Head of Brand & Content to build brand presence and awareness around the events and products. It will be your responsibility to create, monitor and optimise digital marketing campaigns across our client’s digital channels that support the achievement of the business’s overall targets, goals, and objectives. You will be working in collaboration with the wider marketing team for the execution (i.e. paid social channels), and you will be expected to work  closely with our client’s other external agencies and partners. This is an excellent role for candidates that have 5+ years of relevant experience and are excited about using their skills alongside strong marketing and sales teams to help drive best in class digital marketing. 

What you will be doing:

You’ll be responsible for planning, building, and implementing digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms, by using existing content. You will use organic search campaigns, paid advertising, email marketing, social media, and other channels to increase awareness about our client’s brand, product offering, and services. You will use data analytics software tools such as Google Analytics to understand how your web traffic is being generated and identify the best opportunities to advance business goals for generating brand awareness and increasing conversions.  

  WHAT IS REQUIRED: 

  • An advanced knowledge of SEO, PPC, CRO, Data-Analytics, Email Marketing, Social, Website CMS and Display.
  • A keen interest in using content to build marketing campaigns to reach audience and grow engagement
  • Ability to conduct research and analyses on complex datasets to realise appropriate strategies and solutions for programs and campaigns.
  • Strategy development to optimise each channel against KPIs.
  • Ability to manage budget and spend, and to inform channel annual planning.
  • Contribute to management information reporting routines to recognise the impact of spend against each revenue channel and optimize to grow sales, traffic, conversion, and data.
  • Collaborate with the client’s wider teams (i.e. Content, Sales…) to intake campaign strategies, stories, and KPIs.  
  • Create a culture of digital expertise, summarising learnings, and performance to teach cross functional partners best methods for high performing plans, including, content, creative and placement.
  • Partner with Creative to ensure creative assets developed meet the needs of the performance marketing plan, including opportunities to test and learn. Identify creative gaps based on changing media landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple and clear manner that is understandable.
  • Maintain clear communication, expectations and timelines with internal teammates and external partners on deliverables.
  • Conduct in-depth post-program analyses, draw actionable insights from data, and develop hypothesis to improve efficiency of spend.
  • Curiosity to identify insights and best practices to read and continually optimise performance based on results. 
What you need to be great in this role:
  • Experience of building and sustaining meaningful client partnerships whilst maintaining a strong commercial focus.
  • Results driven – creation of and delivery against business plans driven by growth targets
  • Confident working autonomously with partner or 3rd party agencies.
  • Excellent presentation skills – both written and spoken.
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
  • Experience in the Healthcare sector would be a benefit, B2B experience is necessary.
  • Experience of Martech solutions would be useful.
  • 5+ years of relevant digital marketing experience.
