We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counterparty & Treasury Risk Manager to join our global Treasury team. The Risk Manager will play a critical role in protecting the financial stability of our organization by effectively managing counterparty risk, credit risk, foreign exchange (FX) risk, and interest rate risk.

This role will be based in our New York, NY office.

What you’ll be spending your time on:

The Risk Manager will serve as a member of the global Treasury team and as such requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to work under pressure, excel as team player and display highest levels of accuracy, trustworthiness and reliability. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with an ability to deal with multiple tasks at the same time.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze financial statements and prepare concise credit analysis to determine credit worthiness of banking and payment service provider counterparties
  • Monitor a portfolio of counterparties and prepare periodic portfolio reviews for risk committees highlighting key drivers and how they impact individual counterparties
  • Evaluate current and potential credit exposure for counterparties and recommend adjustments to risk grades and limits
  • Apply counterparty/credit risk management best practice models, tools and processes. Participate in developing enhanced procedures, analytics and implementation of systems and tools used to analyze counterparty credit risk
  • Implement early warning and negative news monitoring and other related protocols to ensure timely identification of material changes in risk
  • Apply and adhere to the company’s risk management framework including all relevant limit, reporting and governance policies
  • Identify, measure and analyze FX exposures arising from international transactions
  • Analyze interest rate exposures and potential impacts on the company's financial performance
  • Prepare regular reports on treasury risk metrics, exposures, and performance
  • Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements related to treasury risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including the rest of Treasury as well as Finance, Legal, and Risk & Compliance teams, to ensure alignment on risk management objectives and initiatives.
  • Work closely with external partners and service providers to optimize risk management processes and procedures.
  • Assist with additional general Treasury team tasks including controls, validations and audits.
  • Assist with the development of relevant policies, procedures, controls and standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of relevant financial risk experience
  • Demonstrated ability to research, write and present complex financial materials in a concise, coherent and professional manner
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and risk management principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented and global environment. Can take initiative and produce high quality work independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Good quantitative and financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and analytical tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Excel).
  • Analytical, detail oriented and data driven

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $110,000
