What is the key purpose of the Country Manager?  Taboola is seeking a dynamic Country Manager for India to drive our growth, enhance our reputation, and foster a strong, people-centric culture in the region. This role demands a seasoned sales leader with India-specific strategic expertise, able to act swiftly, make bold choices, and foster collaboration across diverse teams.

What skills and qualifications do I need?

  • India Strategic Expertise: Proven experience in developing and leading ad sales strategies tailored to the Indian market.
  • Sales & Leadership Experience: 15+ years in sales management with a track record of driving performance, nurturing talent, and meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Client-Focused & Relationship Builder: Skilled in building and maintaining strong client relationships and adept in navigating complex agency relationships.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the publisher and advertiser industries in India, with a strong focus on advertising.
  • Data-Driven & Revenue-Oriented: Demonstrated success in hitting revenue goals, using a data-driven approach to overcome market challenges.
  • Creative Problem-Solver: Skilled at tackling regulatory and competitive challenges unique to the Indian market, with a proactive, out-of-the-box approach.
  • Global Company Experience: Able to work effectively with out-of-market leaders and manage cross-cultural stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment while advocating for India’s market needs.

What will I be doing on a day-to day today basis?

Catalyst for Business Growth

  • Develop and execute a tailored strategy to expand Taboola’s advertiser business across India, with a strong understanding of the ad sales landscape.
  • Drive new business initiatives, manage a robust sales pipeline, and accurately forecast growth in collaboration with the sales and account management teams.
  • Innovate in deal structuring, using creative approaches to overcome challenges and drive growth.
  • Negotiate new deals and renewals with publishers and advertisers to ensure consistent YoY revenue growth.
  • Present and reframe Taboola’s products to appeal to Indian advertisers and publishers, enhancing adoption and driving revenue growth.

Champion of In-Market Reputation

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and agencies to drive preference and loyalty toward Taboola’s offerings.
  • Represent Taboola at industry events, write thought leadership pieces, and speak at engagements to influence the advertising and publishing ecosystem in India.
  • Bridge internal and external teams with different objectives, creating alignment while representing the Indian market perspective within a global organization.
