Creative Concepter/Copywriter

THE ROLE
We are seeking a conceptual creative to lead the creative ideation for a Women in Leadership project, and execute on the project from ideation through to production. This is a 4 month contract, on a monthly rolling basis, with the possibility to extend (the project will close at the end of 2025)
This is a highly collaborative role, in which the creative will be working in close partnership with members of our campaigns, creative, strategy, and project management teams. Candidates should ideally be comfortable presenting work to clients and must be able to work with remote team members spanning several time zones (core project team on main client is primarily based within GMT time zones.)

Key responsibilities may include (but not excluding):
Campaign Concepting and Copywriting
- Leads and oversees creative tasks (such as creative ideation, naming, branding, content creation, design, toolkit development)
- Is responsible for the development of the creative ideation and concepting including conceptualization of offline activations
- Is responsible for the creative copywriting and messaging matrix development and finalization
- Collaborates with internal team members including designers, campaigners and strategists, to deliver highly impactful creative
- Presenting creative work to clients and guiding clients through the decision-making process if needed
- Working with project management, strategy and campaign teams to manage creative deliverables and ensure deadlines and budgets are met
ABOUT YOU
- You have at least 6+ years of experience writing and concepting for brands and campaigns (preferably in an agency setting)
- You have experience in writing on climate issues
- You have proven ability to ideate relevant and engaging creative concepts and campaigns
- You have a proven ability to craft resonant copy and verbal identity for targeted audiences from strategy and insight
- You have experience working closely with strategy and campaigns teams and delivering creative based on strategic insights
- You have experience writing for paid social advertising and are skilled at optimizing ad campaigns to deliver measurable and impactful results, which support the goals of a wider campaign
- You have knowledge and demonstrated commitment in past work of centering equitable outcomes and best practices in copywriting, creative concepting and campaign development
- You carry high personal integrity, with commitment to creating progressive change in the world
Preferred but not necessary:
- You are familiar with movement-building, and/or issue areas of strong relevance to Purpose’s mission
- You have a strong understanding of the overall digital media landscape, and keep up with developments within the space
