CREATIVE DIRECTOR (PART-TIME)

Type: 12-month FTC with view to extend (freelance contract is not possible!)

Working hours: 20 hours per week

Location:  Amsterdam, Netherlands

About the role: 

This is an opportunity to join OLIVER's award-winning in-house agency as a Creative Director driving cutting-edge social-first creativity for the world's top ice cream brands. 

You'll be shaping the future of brand storytelling at the intersection of AI and creativity. Based in Amsterdam with part-time flexible arrangements, you'll lead the creative vision within our innovative Ice Cream Studio. Your strategic vision and hands-on approach will revolutionise how iconic ice cream brands engage with audiences globally, ensuring our work remains as memorable as the products themselves. 

THE ROLE 

You'll be the creative force behind transformative social campaigns that redefine what's possible for beloved ice cream brands. Working at the intersection of generative AI technology and creative storytelling, you'll translate brand essence into scroll-stopping content that resonates across platforms. We're looking for someone who can balance creative ambition with commercial reality, finding the sweet spot that drives both cultural relevance and business results. Success means setting a new standard for what social-first creative looks like in the FMCG space. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

  • Lead social-first strategies that capture attention and imagination  
  • Develop a revolutionary playbook for brand social creative direction that guides global teams  
  • Create visual guidance systems that establish distinctive brand aesthetics in social environments  
  • Spearhead generative AI initiatives that push creative boundaries whilst delivering efficiency  
  • Build and mentor diverse creative teams, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence  
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to influence brand direction whilst ensuring on-brand execution  
  • Transform creative concepts into production-ready assets through hands-on leadership  
  • Shape visual storytelling approaches in collaboration with content creators and motion designers  
  • Stay ahead of evolving social media trends to keep brands culturally relevant and engaged  
  • Deliver work that wins both audience attention and industry recognition

  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative direction, with strong social-first creative examples  
  • Strategic thinking that connects creative vision to measurable business outcomes  
  • Proven ability to leverage emerging technologies, particularly generative AI  
  • Expertise in social media platforms, trends, and content formats
  • Experience leading creative teams across diverse specialties  
  • A talent for inspiring and influencing clients and stakeholders  
  • The ability to articulate creative vision with clarity and conviction  
  • An eye for the perfect balance between brand consistency and platform-native content
