Tripadvisor, the world’s preferred travel guidance company, is looking for a driven Creative Manager, Copy to join our growing team. You’ll play a critical role in bringing to life the Tripadvisor brand for millions of travelers — helping to transform one of the most iconic travel brands in the world with messaging that connects with travelers and elevates the brand. The Creative Manager, Copy will lead, scale, and inspire an agile in-house copywriting team while developing strong cross-functional relationships with the Design, Content, and Editorial.
This role is a remote position in the United States. Occasional travel to company offices as necessary.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure consistency in co-branded and Tripadvisor copy messaging, working in tandem with the content team, across all platforms
- Work collaboratively with the design team to develop and execute clever and engaging creative concepts against campaign briefs; successfully communicate creative ideas and the strategic rationale behind them
- Own the freelance copy process and facilitate the execution of overflow work
- Manage deliverables for ALL copy projects (ad & longform) both ensuring efficiency and quality for clients
- Grow a pool of trusted freelance writers to scale copy capabilities
- Partner with teams across the company including B2C, Marketing, and Hospitality Solutions to produce messaging that connects with travelers and elevates the brand
- Communicate a point of view on copywriting trends and actively bring those references and trends to the team
- Help define and wield our brand strategy and voice across all touchpoints; help build on and adapt brand voice guidelines and collaborative processes
- Liaise with cross departmental peers and leads to ensure airtight collaborative process, align on evolving values and voice
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years copywriting on a marketing team, in-house, or agency. Management experience required..
- A portfolio or clips of work that shows strong writing skills and conceptual campaign thinking
- A strong network of freelance writers
- Can develop, effectively bring to market, and execute complex and integrated partnerships
- Excellent collaborator when working with internal and external stakeholders, specifically design and content teams
- Ability to prioritize multiple high-priority tasks, manage your day-to-day schedule, and hit deadlines consistently
- Can manage multiple live campaigns at once with both new and returning clients
- Impeccable writing craft and a flair for brevity
- Interest in travel and a broad awareness of trends

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
