Data Analyst
Inspiration Commerce Group is a global ecommerce group enabling shoppers to find and buy products instantly. We own and operate comparison shopping sites like Stylight.com and MyBestBrands.de. We have three global offices (Toronto, Munich and Split) with team members working remote/hybrid across 5+ countries. We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. Your primary mission is to help other teams get access to the data and insights they need to make decisions and solve problems. You will work closely with our Engineering team and Business stakeholders to ensure that we are pulling, analyzing and summarizing the right data in a quick and efficient way. This is a hybrid role (1-2 days/week in-office) based out of our Split office.
About the Role
Data-informed Solutions: you will partner with different teams to understand their challenges and help them use data to drive decisions. This will mean developing a deep understanding of both the business and our data set-up, to properly match the two together.
Data Modelling: you will build, maintain and optimize complex data models/pipelines using dbt.
Dashboarding & Reporting: you will set-up, monitor and iterate on various dashboards and reports across the company, using Holistics.
Ambassador for Data: you will partner with various teams and leaders to help them pull the right data, understand what they’re looking at, etc. You will work with engineering to make sure that data is being collected, stored and used in the optimal way. You will support with pulling/analyzing data, help with SQL queries, etc.
About You
You have a proven track record working as a Data Analyst or Data Engineer, owning the build-out of dashboards, reporting and analysis projects
You are an expert in SQL and have previous experience with BI-tools like (Looker, Holistics).
You are comfortable with data transformation tools like (DBT)
You know how to handle large data sets and are not afraid to use data from different sources like BigQuery, Redshift, and data lake solutions
You love to crunch numbers and work on complex tasks that you can then confer to the end-user
You are familiar with statistical methods like regression and hypothesis testing
You are comfortable working in English (speaking, reading and writing)
Additional programming skills, especially in Python, are a plus
