As a Data Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our mission to revolutionize satellite communications, playing a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing our data warehouse solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabrics Synapse. • Development, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouse solutions with Microsoft Fabrics Synapse
• Design and optimization of data models and ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load)
• Ensuring data quality and integrity within the data warehouse environment
• Design, implementation, and further development of data pipelines
• Development, operation, and monitoring of existing ETL processes
• Responsibility for the use of big data applications and the associated data integrations
• Analysis and evaluation of internal and external data (sources) for their economic potential and derivation of use cases
• Close collaboration with technical and non-technical team members to solve data-based challenges
• Implementation and management of data pipelines for integrating various data sources
• Performance tuning and optimizations to improve data processing
• Creation and maintenance of documentation and best practices for data warehouse architecture

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, data science, or a comparable field
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a data engineer or in a similar position, preferably in the field of data warehousing and big data
• Solid knowledge and experience with Microsoft Fabrics Synapse (formerly Azure Synapse Analytics) and other Microsoft Azure data solutions
• Experience with big data and cloud technologies (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, DataBricks)
• Experience in developing and managing ETL processes as well as with ETL tools
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Proficiency in Python or R and experience with PySpark are required
• Experience with comparable Microsoft tools is an advantage
• Knowledge of data modeling and data governance
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach
• Good communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical issues clearly
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
