Join us! We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our product analytics team and support our data science operations across the organization. You will work alongside a skilled team to create meaningful impact for our users and business.
About the role:
- Work with product leadership to develop and monitor KPIs and present emerging trends and actionable insights
- Assist in the design, analysis, and interpretation of projects from data requirement gathering to data processing, modeling, and business recommendations
- Support A/B testing through the entire experimentation life cycle, including inception, creation, measurement, and recommendations
- Develop user-friendly dashboards and perform ad hoc analysis
- Use data science methods to perform Product Analytics and generate actionable insights for GoFundMe Product teams
- Proficiently perform data segmentation and manipulation using SQL and Python or R
- Contribute to the identification and dissemination of best practices across the team regarding tools, systems, and processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify new analytical opportunities
- Work with data and engineering teams to design scalable and future-proof instrumentation
- Assist in ELT processes as needed
You…
- 2+ years of experience building data analytics and science projects
- Familiarity with a broad set of statistical and machine learning methods to solve and optimize business problems and metrics
- Experience with multivariate and A/B testing
- Proficient in using Python or R for statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and/or machine learning
- Strong experience with SQL for writing scalable data transformations
- Data visualization skills and experience with BI tools (Tableau/Looker)
- Able to organize, prioritize, and assist with business requests with adequate scoping and stakeholder expectation setting
- Effective presentation skills, capable of authoring and presenting insights to stakeholders and influencing decision makers
- Knowledge of event tracking, database architecture, and Machine Learning is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is preferred (Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, or related areas)

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $130,000- $175,000 + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
