Job & Department Summary

 

The Deal Desk Analyst will support the go-to-market team by providing guidance on complex deal structures, ensuring compliance with pricing and discounting policies, and enhancing quote-to-cash processes and operational efficiency. This role involves collaborating with sales teams and cross-functional departments to facilitate the sales process, improve deal velocity, drive revenue growth, and build strong working relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve sales deals and pricing requests to ensure compliance with company policies and business approval guidelines
  • Advise field sales on pricing, product configuration, and business terms, and provide insights to improve deal structure and sales strategy
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance and Legal teams to streamline the deal process and build strong working relationships
  • Manage the end-to-end deal review process including verifying deal accuracy and navigating complex business processes
  • Analyse deal metrics to provide insights to improve deal structure and sales strategy
  • Maintain and update deal desk documentation and training materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or management team.

 

Key Performance Outcomes

  • Efficiency and compliance: approve deals within set timeframes, ensuring high accuracy and compliance with pricing, discount and contractual policies
  • Collaboration and relationship building: foster effective relationships with Sales, Finance and Legal teams to ensure seamless deal processes
  • Process improvement and financial impact: implement process enhancements to improve deal velocity and operational efficiency, while optimising deal structures for revenue growth

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years experience in sales operations, finance and/or experience supporting a complex Sales organisation
  • Technical Skills: proficiency in Salesforce.com, CPQ/Quote-to-Cash processes, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Certifications and/or Licenses: none required, but relevant certifications (e.g. Salesforce Administrator) are a plus
