The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position can be office-based or fully remote from one of the following countries: Germany, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, or the UK.

At Personio, your work transforms the way millions of people experience work every day. Join our Product & Technology team, where we drive our customers’ outcomes by designing, developing and delivering innovative and high quality products. Be empowered to take ownership of your areas and make an impact on your team, our product, and our customers.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Program Leadership: Build and own product design programs from the ground up, establishing scalable processes and guides to create clarity and efficiency across the design org.
  • Strategic Planning: Proactively identify opportunities and gaps, creating an operational roadmap in partnership with Product Design Leadership and primary stakeholders, ensuring alignment with design org goals to drive impact.

  • Operational Improvement: Own the continuous enhancement of design operations across the product design org–automating tasks, refining workflows, and developing repeatable mechanisms to maximize team efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Program Execution: Own program execution, ensuring all deadlines are met, progress is tracked against milestones, and all program documentation is maintained with precision.

  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for product design programs, delivering regular, transparent updates to stakeholders and ensuring  design org-wide visibility of programs.

  • Navigate Ambiguity: Transform ambiguous opportunities into concrete, actionable outcomes, driving program success with a bias towards action.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • You have 5+ years of experience in program management within design, business operations, or consulting, preferably working cross-functionally (Design, Product Management, Engineering, etc.).

  • You have a proven track record of building and launching design programs at scale, preferably in a globally distributed organization.

  • You have deep expertise in design practices and the product development lifecycle, having successfully managed operationally complex projects within a product organization.

  • You can demonstrate resourcefulness and a high degree of autonomy, building processes and establishing systems for teams with little operational infrastructure.
  • You build strong relationships across stakeholders, with a proven ability to drive clarity, negotiate outcomes, and resolve conflicts. You have a strong understanding of design and project management tools and software (e.g. Figma, Jira, Airtable).
