What’s the mission?Hi there! ✋ Are you prepared to take the lead in Showpad's global expansion to Romania? We're on the lookout for a dynamic and seasoned Director of Engineering to spearhead the development and leadership of our exceptional teams in Bucharest.  As part of Showpad's Product and Technology organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our industry-leading Showpad revenue enablement platform.

As the Director of Engineering, your mission is crystal clear: guide high-performing engineering teams to continuously enhance the Showpad platform, aligning closely with our company's strategic vision and driving business growth. You'll be a key player in our Product and Technology leadership team, reporting directly to the CPTO (Chief Product and Technology Officer).

 

What will you be doing?

You'll be leading the way of Showpad's expansion into Romania, responsible for building high-performing teams, delivering impactful projects, and nurturing a vibrant tech community in Bucharest. Additionally, you'll lead the DevOps organization, driving technical strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, scale, and prepare for future growth. Your role will involve building a prominent presence in the software community, reaching the next maturity level, and laying the foundations for scale to meet the demands of new investors and stakeholders.

    • Attract, hire, and develop top software engineering talent in Bucharest
    • Build and lead high-performing engineering teams

Project delivery:

    • Define and prioritize engineering projects, aligning with broader company goals
    • Lead execution of complex technical projects on time and within budget
    • Ensure high-quality software development and delivery, adhering to best practices and security standards
    • Collaborate with other engineering teams and stakeholders across the company

 

Are you the right match?

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering and engineering leadership roles 
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Strong technical expertise in software development methodologies and best practices
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and coach engineers to achieve their full potential
  • Passion for building a diverse and inclusive work environment
  • Experience recruiting and managing talent in an international setting
