The Marketing Strategy & Analytics Team

Okta’s Marketing Strategy & Analytics team plays a critical role in developing and tracking progress towards our key business performance indicators, detecting key changes in our marketing funnel performance and driving strategic analyses to optimize performance.

The Director of Marketing Strategy & Analytics Opportunity

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead team that analyzes data, distills insights and presents actionable recommendations to Marketing Leadership to improve performance of key programs.
  • Own scorecards that Marketing teams use for key marketing metrics. Ensure information is disseminated to internal stakeholders efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage, iterate and build self-service reporting in Tableau for key Marketing functions, including Field and Partner Marketing, Brand, Events, Sales Development and more.
  • Spearhead reporting for sales development organization, including capacity modeling support, quota attainment reporting and activity metrics.
  • Understand marketing technology ecosystem, including our data foundation in detail. Partner with internal teams on processes to ensure data accuracy and uninterrupted lead flow delivery to our Sales teams.
  • Build analytical models for annual planning purposes to provide business with proposed targets that will help with budget allocation decisions.
  • Partner with Sales Strategy & Operations and Marketing Strategy & Planning teams on quarterly operating reviews, ad-hoc analyses and reporting enablement.
  • Work cross-functionally with Okta’s Data & Insights team to build accurate data sources and pipelines to power Marketing reporting. 
  • Provide end-to-end analytics support for marketing experiments, including establishing a measurement framework, A/B testing and reporting.
  • Establish a team vision and lead a team of analysts; includes instilling standard methodologies and processes, managing and communicating roadmap, and upskilling team members.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing, Operations and Analytics in a B2B environment; sales operations or analytics experience would be a plus.
  • Demonstrated success driving business strategy by empowering decision makers with data and insights, developing frameworks and providing strategic partnership on overall marketing measurement.
  • Full-funnel metrics experience across attributable and non-attributable conversion actions.
  • Experience across multiple go-to-market motions: enterprise sales/account-based marketing, product led growth and partner marketing.
  • Significant understanding of Martech infrastructure, including database management, data hygiene, and integrations with first-party and third-party systems.
  • Expert in data-driven storytelling. Ability to communicate and influence effectively across a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and influence along with the ability to deal with ambiguity while building and transforming for scale.
  • Expert knowledge of Tableau, Salesforce CRM, Snowflake and Excel.
  • 3+ years of people management experience. Strong focus on both EQ and IQ.

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • Digital Analytics experience, including systems like Google and Adobe Analytics
  • SQL Proficiency

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$175,000—$292,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $218,000—$326,000 USD
