Director of Partnerships

As our Director of Partnerships, you’ll play a key role in driving SumUp's Partnership Strategy for Enterprise Merchants, Integrations/ISVs and Referrals across all of our operating countries in Europe. You'll set the long-term vision of the area in close collaboration with the VP of Retail & Partnerships by defining and executing go-to-market strategies, fostering a high-performance culture, reviewing business models, maximising channel revenue and optimising processes for revenue growth and overall efficiency.
You'll be responsible for the Partner Management, Partner Sales, and Sales Engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Drive SumUp's Partnerships function across Europe by defining a vision and go-to-market strategy for the region
- Analyse data and internal reports to refine sales strategies and grow the pipeline of potential partners
- Foster collaboration with SumUp's Product & Engineering Tribes and play a key role in accelerating product delivery by making clear business cases and articulating merchant and partner needs to internal counterparts.
- Drive transparency, automation, and simplification of the sales process, optimising for revenue growth, pace-setting, and overall efficiency.
- Articulate and drive delivery of key content, like pitch-decks, case-studies, and representation on the website to position SumUp as an industry authority in ISV and Enterprise business
- Actively work on the team culture of the Partnerships team, setting targets and facilitating team development
You'll be great for this position if
- You have 10+ years of Commercial background working with B2B Sales/Business Development, ideally in the Financial Services industry
- You have experience implementing change (building commercial frameworks, prioritising GTM, bringing structure)
- You have strong experience in managing, coaching, and leading regional (Europe) and large teams.
- You have great analytical skills and strong business acumen.
- You’re self-driven, proactive, persistent, pragmatic and have a can-do attitude.
- You enjoy solving complex problems, taking a broad and long term perspective to identify solutions
