YOUR MISSION

Glovo’s QCommerce business is one of the most exciting and fastest-growing bets in our journey to give everyone easy access to anything in their cities. As Director of QCommerce, you’ll lead the transformation of how millions of people shop for everyday essentials — from groceries to household items — delivered in minutes.

You won’t be inheriting a playbook — you’ll be writing it.

You’ll own the full strategy, P&L, and execution of one of Glovo’s key growth engines, shaping its vision, team, and performance from the ground up.

This is not a maintenance role — it’s a builder’s mission. You’ll be balancing growth with profitability, speed with quality, and people with performance. You’ll work cross-functionally with our brightest minds — from Product and Marketing to Operations and Finance — to scale the business sustainably and make Glovo the most loved QCommerce brand in your market.

THE JOURNEY

  • Define and own the QCommerce strategy for Romania, setting a clear vision and direction for category growth, profitability, and customer experience across multiple retail verticals.
  • Translate strategy into tangible results — leading the execution of commercial, operational, and marketing initiatives that directly impact top-line growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Take full P&L ownership — ensuring every business decision drives sustainable value creation, balancing growth ambition with disciplined financial management.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, setting a high bar for performance, autonomy, and accountability. Build future-ready leaders through active coaching, feedback, and empowerment.
  • Invest in talent development, creating clear career paths, driving engagement, and fostering an ownership mindset that enables individuals to perform at their best.
  • Accelerate commercial excellence by strengthening key retailer and supplier partnerships, optimizing assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to deliver best-in-class availability and margins.
  • Leverage Retail Media as a growth engine, partnering with global and local brands to unlock new revenue streams, strengthen brand visibility, and enhance Glovo’s retail ecosystem.
  • Champion operational excellence, using data and insights to identify opportunities, streamline processes, and drive executional rigor across all QCommerce activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HQ, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to align priorities, unlock efficiencies, and ensure seamless delivery of the QCommerce roadmap.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the Regional GM and senior leadership, influencing company-wide decisions and representing QCommerce in strategic forums.
  • Champion Glovo’s culture and values in every decision -  balancing speed with care, ownership with collaboration, and ambition with humility.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • 10+ years of experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments such as startups, scale-ups, consulting, investment banking, or private equity, ideally combined with operational or commercial leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of owning and scaling a P&L — driving revenue growth, optimizing profitability, and building sustainable business models.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable business decisions.
  • Deep commercial acumen — skilled in negotiation, category management, and partnership development with retailers, suppliers, and brands.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams, with a demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent in dynamic, demanding environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills — capable of aligning senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders around common goals.
  • Bias for action and entrepreneurial spirit — thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and builds from zero to one with resilience and focus.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, able to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external audiences.
  • Fluency in English & Romanian required
