Warehouse Distribution Manager

Reports To:  General Manager

 

Purpose of the Position: The Warehouse Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of food production of Green Chef products by allocating duties and managing all Distribution supervisors, team leaders and team members to ensure high quality products are produced while ensuring food safety and maintaining organic status.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Confer with other managers and supervisory team throughout distribution center to ensure coordination of all warehouse activities
  • Establish and monitor weekly scheduling of warehouse (distribution) supervisors and team members
  • Work with General Manager and Human Resources Manager to properly execute all company policies, rules, discipline, and performance appraisals
  • Ensure carrier pickups arrive and depart per an established schedule while effectively communicating with internal and external partners
  • Oversee proper use and maintenance of distribution related machines and equipment
  • Ensure Food Safety Guidelines are being followed at all levels
  • Ensure facility is following established requirements to maintain organic status 
  • Ensure that all production processes are properly executed
  • Ensure all items produced comply with stringent quality guidelines
  • Monitor activity and workflow to ensure that all warehouse production deadlines are met
  • Monitor compliance of GMPs, promptly addressing violations
  • Work with recruiter to establish and meet staffing goals   
  • Promptly communicate all safety related issues and concerns
  • Any and all other functions as determined by management

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage and effectively lead warehouse distribution supervisors
  • Oversee all warehouse distribution related operations 

 

Required Experience/Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 7-10 years managing a food distribution or food production facility
  • HACCP training preferred
  • CCOF knowledge preferred

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly  
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Regular stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, and walking

 

Working Conditions:

  • Combination of warehouse and office environment
  • Must be able to withstand temperatures ranging from 45 degrees Fahrenheit to -20 degrees Fahrenheit
