Engineering Manager - Analytics and Data Platform
Teads is a global and premium Ad Tech platform at scale and has an engineering team that brings together 230+ talented individuals in 3 main locations (Montpellier, Paris, and Bucharest). 👉 We are looking for an Engineering Manager to spearhead our Analytics and Data Platform team. The team is integral to our technical ecosystem, building the systems that allow us to deal with and use the billions of data points generated daily by our business. What will you do?As the Engineering Leader of the team, you will:
- Build and lead a technical long-term direction for the team.
- Inspire, mentor and help your team members to grow and support engineering efforts.
- Ensure projects delivered meet requirements, on time with the appropriate cursor of quality.
- Work hand in hand with our cross-functional teams to manage projects (product, engineering, and operations teams).
- Participate in and influence technical conversations, as well as hands-on contribution to features implementation work.
- Proven experience as a technical leader in the software industry.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor technical teams.
- A passion and curiosity for creating and building things.
- A keen sense of ownership for and experience managing the end-to-end project development cycle.
- Sound and pragmatic knowledge of project management and Agile methodology.
- Good problem-solving skills and passion for data driven decisions.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in English.
The team's mission is to build a first-class set of efficient and reliable tools to support our data lifecycle, empowering everyone at Teads to make data-driven decisions and build data-driven products.
To fulfill this mission, our team of Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and BI Engineers use, operate, and build up on various tools and data systems :
- For Data streaming, we extensively use Kafka and are in the process of migrating to RedPanda
- For Data processing, Spark is mainly used with some minor usages of Flink
- AWS S3 is extensively used as our Data Lake, while GCP BigQuery serves as our DataWarehouse
- For Business Intelligence we rely heavily on Looker
- As for other technical teams at Teads, ready-to-use data sets that abstracts the complexity of ingestion, transformation and storage of this data at a scale (100 billion analytics events a day).
The team is also orchestrating a federated community of practice for Business Intelligence, to propagate the knowledge around data and infuse a data-driven culture in the entire company.
