Engineering Manager
At GoCardless we believe bank payments are the best way to pay and get paid. We also believe that bank account data is a powerful tool to make better, faster decisions. We’re making it easy to use both- for businesses everywhere.
GoCardless is used for domestic and international payments by 85,000+ organisations and counting, processing more than $30 billion across 30 countries. We’re an award-winning London based fintech, with additional offices in Riga, Paris and Melbourne.
The roleWe’re seeking an Engineering Manager to run one or both small engineering teams in our Riga office. These teams focus on our customer services tooling, and making changes to our product that allows as many of our customers to self-serve as possible; as well as our risk monitoring tooling, allowing us to identify fraudulent, or behaviour that is not compliant with our financial regulators rules.
This is an ideal opportunity for a technical leader looking to stretch into a more formal management position with one team, or for a more established manager to stretch and work with two different teams.
One team will primarily work with Ruby and various front-end technologies such as Angular and React. The second team focuses on a pure Ruby backend environment, integrating with risk management tools like DataVisor (experience with this tool is not necessary).
These teams have already demonstrated a significant impact, saving GoCardless numerous hours through productivity enhancements and reducing risk exposure by millions.
