As the Team Lead, you’ll oversee our internal data platform, which integrates data from our products and external sources, empowering analysts and data scientists to unlock powerful insights. Your work will be central to Culture Amp’s mission of delivering actionable insights to leaders, ultimately creating a better world of work for millions of employees.

In this role, you’ll excel in three key areas:

  • People Leadership: Inspire and guide your engineers, helping them tackle complex challenges and removing obstacles so they can excel.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead by example, solving complex problems and driving technical excellence.
  • Delivery: Ensure timely and efficient project delivery within our Agile, cross-functional, and remote-friendly teams.

Culture Amp’s software engineering practice is inclusive and flexible, supporting remote work and fostering collaboration across distributed teams.

In part of this team of amazing humans, 

You will:

  • Lead the design of Culture Amp’s data platform, including our data lake, warehouse, data modeling, orchestration, and ML platform
  • Clearly communicate technical solutions with your team, peers, and other stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering their growth into future technical leaders

You have:

  • Strong understanding of data engineering and data platform architecture, including data lake and data warehouse architecture, data modeling, and building for security and compliance
  • Experience with the AWS data stack including Redshift, MSK, and Glue
  • Knowledge of key data stack components, such as dbt and Airflow
  • Experience managing stakeholders and leading engineers, complemented by strong written and verbal communication skills.

You are:

  • A technical leader who can balance hands on technical skills whilst empowering and coaching engineers.
  • Open to receiving feedback and giving feedback to help others grow.
