The Challenge

Under the direction of the Senior Tech Manager of Enterprise Performance Management, the EPM Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing and maintaining T2’s Global Financial Planning & Accounting Consolidation systems to support the needs of our business partners across global locations. The EPM Developer will act on design and development via Oracle’s EPM Cloud Software Suite for EPBCS and FCCS. The candidate will also provide reporting solutions to the business partners using innovative tools and solutions. The candidate works closely with both our technical and business partners on requirements gathering to design, develop, deliver and support system functionality. The ideal candidate will align business acumen and technical ability to deliver and support best in class planning solutions to business partners.

 

What You’ll Take On

  • Sufficient experience in Oracle EPM Hyperion Planning design, development and administration with 2+ years on EPM Cloud including EPBCS (Finance Modules, Freeform, Hybrid BSO, ASO), FCCS, Narrative and Management Reporting, Data Management, EPMAutomate & metadata management. Must have hands on EPM Cloud experience.
  • Develop Complex Business Rules in both calculation manager and Groovy.
  • Script using Python/Groovy/CDM APIs and utilize EPM Automate to automate data admin activities.
  • Build integration artifacts in Cloud Data Management and FDMEE, such as locations, maps, custom/import scripts, using Python Scripts.
  • Proficient in admin tasks such as metadata maintenance, data loads, backups, migrations, epmautomate, integrations, security setups etc.
  • Will serve as a SME in maintaining and enhancing T2’s global budgeting, forecasting & long-term planning systems. 
  • Support multiple Planning and Consolidation applications in Oracle EPM Cloud.
  • Responsible for providing innovative reporting solutions using Narrative, Management, Financial Reporting & Dashboards.
  • Responsible for performance tuning and optimization of Planning and Consolidation applications.  
  • Working knowledge of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow concepts and KPI’s
  • Ability to work both individually and within a team environment. 
  • Proven experience in providing system support and direct contact with users to solve issues with business applications 
  • Conduct testing, including system, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation including design documents, test documentation, training materials, and administration/procedural guides.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for this role
  • Demonstrate work planning and prioritization skills;
  • Analytical and assessment skills essential;
  • Adheres to SOX related processes in completing assignments; 
  • Follows standards/uses standard toolsets;  
  • Identifies opportunities to improve existing conditions and processes & implements solutions;

  • Independently works with little assistance on all anticipated tasks.

 

What You Bring

  • Expert knowledge in Oracle EPM Cloud and On Premises Hyperion Architecture using Hybrid Application methodology and Financial Modules. Should be proficient in analyzing when to use Financial Modules vs FreeForm Applications. 
  • Must Have – Proficient in writing complex code in Calculation Manger Business Rules.
  • Must Have – Proficient in writing complex code in Groovy Scripting.
  • Must Have – Proficient in integrations within EPM cloud across cubes and also Integration with other corporate systems like JDE, Anaplan, Snowflake etc.
  • Expert knowledge of all components of EPBCS including metadata administration, outlines, dimensions, complex calculations, business rules, calculation scripts, creating snapshots, backups, data and artifact migrations, security setup and configuration, data forms, Charts & Graphs, menus, task lists, as part of application development and configuration.
  • Expert in BSO, ASO & Hybrid cube design.
  • Expert knowledge on Performance Optimization of Planning application which includes Data load process / Business Rules / Cal script and reporting Methods.
  • Expert knowledge of creating financial reports (pdf), charts, pivots, dashboards, books, batches, snapshot reports etc. using financial reporting.
  • Expert in Automation, SQL, Batch scripting and EPMAutomate.
  • Expert knowledge in automations of Data Loads and integrations using FDMEE/data management.
  • Expertise Knowledge on Metadata Upload Process through incremental files and creating automations to seamlessly load metadata.
  • Expert in SQL Development and maintenance of Stored Procedures (PL), Triggers and Queries.
  • Ability to be proactive in providing alternatives based on best practices and application functionality. 
  • Financial process and functional knowledge required.
  • Expert knowledge in analyzing business needs and developing solutions to support the business.
