Comfortable working across both digital and physical event formats, you will have experience working in a fast-paced environment on multiple tasks at once and be confident delivering your work and discussing your ideas. What We Need You To DoAs an integrated and highly organised member of the Events team, you’ll work closely with the Special Relations Senior Manager and other key stakeholders to help deliver weekly BoFLive events and larger-scale franchise events such as BoF’s quarterly digital summits, and VOICES. You’ll be responsible for successfully managing key logistical components that will deliver on the success of events.
In being successful in this role, you will:
- Support the events team in managing speaker and guest relations including speaker briefs, release forms and attendee experience.
- Work closely with the Senior Events manager on the management of speakers before, during, and after the events, including calls for presentation, submissions, proposals, speaker preparation, logistics, and overall experience.
- Support all event marketing and promotion, including writing copy and working with the editorial team to coordinate deadlines and coverage strategies.
- Co-host regular BoF Masterclass sessions with the Senior Events Manager, ensuring events are run smoothly and assets are delivered for post production in an efficient manner.
- Maintain an up-to-date content calendar with scheduled and prospective events.
- Coordinate with key internal stakeholders (e.g. Content Operations) on deliverables and deadlines.
- Support senior members of the events team by liaising with vendors and suppliers.
- Build detailed project plans, manage internal calendars and keep an up to date tracker for BoF’s various events.
Who You Are
You are an enthusiastic and incredibly organised Events Associate on the upward curve of your career. You work with a high degree of professionalism and integrity and have an operational mindset. Experience in the fashion industry is not a prerequisite, however the successful candidate will have a passion for the global fashion, beauty and luxury industries as well as thorough attention to detail and nuance. Outside of that, you will have the following skills that will help set you up for success:
- Experience working on physical events
- Excellent customer service, hospitality and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills, verbal, and written communications
- High performance under pressure and a strong sense of accountability
- A ‘can-do’ attitude, flexibility and creative thinking
- Familiarity with the market-leading digital events platforms (e.g., Zoom Webinar, Bizzabo)
- MS Office, G-Suite, Typeform, Survey Monkey proficiency (or similar)
You’ll Know You’re Successful When...
- Weekly and major franchise events are delivered efficiently and effectively, all while providing a premium service to VIPs, speakers, guests, and delegates alike
- Hiccups are practically non-existent due to your high attention to detail but, if they do occur, your ‘in-event’ troubleshooting skills and ability to perform well under pressure negate issues quickly to revert to a non-impacted, highly professional experience
- Event feedback from VIPs, speakers, guests, delegates, and the BoF Team is outstanding
