The Deliveroo Reward team is responsible for designing and implementing our global compensation, benefits and performance programs. We work across the business and the wider People team to deliver strategies and initiatives to support the attraction and retention of our talent. 

About the role

This is a fixed-term role for a one-year maternity leave cover. We are looking for an experienced Executive Compensation Specialist, with a primary focus on Remuneration Committee matters, Corporate Governance and best practices for Reward, and Executive Compensation practices at the company. Reporting to the Global Head of Reward, you’ll help prepare board materials related to Executive Compensation and Reward matters, as well as other ongoing regulatory materials such as the Director’s Remuneration Report.

This is a hybrid position (3 days per week) based out of or London HQ.

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with the Head of Reward on the preparation of written and analytical materials/papers for regular Remuneration Committee meetings, including benchmarking and detailed compensation modelling
  • Support the ongoing evaluation of Deliveroo's Remuneration Policy and its implementation against the UK governance landscape
  • Develop the annual Directors’ Remuneration Report working cross functionally with the CoSec, Finance and Legal teams, including ownership of all remuneration disclosures. 
  • Support the design and management of bonus and long-term incentive programmes for the Executive population
  • Manage the evaluation and analysis of Executive incentive pay structures, partnering with Finance on assessment of key KPIs
  • Provide technical and specialist advice on Executive reward matters. Review best practices and emerging trends and make relevant recommendations
  • Support the preparation of compensation and reward packages for new hires

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with designing Executive Compensation programs and strategy, either in a consulting environment or at a UK PLC
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK governance and regulatory remuneration landscape, including experience and knowledge of proxy advisory agencies, e.g. ISS, Glass Lewis
  • Understanding of Executive share plans design and implementation. A knowledge of practicalities around award administration is a plus
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a strong track record of execution and delivery
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience owning relationships with global stakeholders across all functions and levels, including executives and senior leaders
