We are seeking a FinOps & Technical Vendor Manager to lead and manage relationships with our technical vendors, Increase operational efficiency, ensuring seamless integration of their products and services into our operations. In this role, you will oversee vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery while identifying and mitigating potential risks. 

 

What you’ll be spending your time on:

  • FinOps Analysis: Monitor and analyze cloud spending to ensure cost efficiency. Provide insights and recommendations for financial optimization.
  • Optimization: Implement strategies to optimize cloud resource usage and reduce costs. Identify opportunities for cost savings through technical and financial adjustments. Analyzing the cost-effectiveness of vendor-provided technology, including software licenses, cloud services, and maintenance contracts.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for clouds and technology costs. Ensure spending aligns with financial plans and forecasts.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with vendors through regular communication and collaboration. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and escalations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, legal, finance, and operations teams to align financial goals with operational needs and support vendor-related initiatives.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed financial reports and analytics to support decision-making. Track and present key financial metrics and trends.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize vendor relationships, streamline processes, and drive cost savings without compromising quality or service.
  • Performance Management: Monitoring and evaluating vendor performance. Set clear metrics & KPIs for service providers and clear standards for product suppliers.
  • Contract Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation to renewal, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships.

Have you done this kind of stuff?

  • 3+ years of proven experience in FinOps, Vendor Management or related roles.
  • Experience in Cloud optimization (FinOps), managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and evaluating supplier performance.
  • Analytical abilities to assess Clouds and vendors performance, analyze contracts, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise with vendors.
  • Ability to oversee multiple processes effectively, in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with vendors, internal stakeholders, and colleagues.
