Forecasting Analyst
Forecasting Analyst, HOP
The Team
At Deliveroo Hop, we’re building a global grocery retailer from the ground up. We launched Deliveroo Hop in September 2021 as Deliveroo’s speedy grocery delivery service and have partnered with some of the world’s leading grocers so you can get the freshest, tastiest food and all of your must-haves right to your front door in as little as 20 minutes. We’re live in the UK, UAE, Hong Kong and Italy and have big ambitions to deliver the best on-demand grocery proposition in the world. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hop team in the nascent stage of our growth.
As a forecasting analyst you will work closely with our grocery partners across all markets to ensure the best levels of service. You will be responsible for tracking fill rate performance as well as inbound receiving and claims processes and holding our partners to their service level agreements. You will also work with the operations, category management and vendor management teams to optimise inventory to provide the best customer proposition. This role will give you the opportunity to work directly with grocery partners across multiple international markets as well as a full range of teams within Deliveroo.
The Role
Deliveroo is hiring a forecasting analyst to join the HOP Team based in our London HQ, reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, in the HOP team. You’ll be in charge of maintaining the overall forecasting strategy for Hop sites in the UK. You will be part of the decision making, working with our cross functional teams to forecast accurately across multiple vendors.
Your primary responsibility is to produce accurate demand forecasts to determine which products to buy, in what quantities, and when. You will also be responsible for placing purchase orders. You will work with our product and technology teams to specify requirements for additional forecasting models, algorithms and reporting tools.
We are seeking an experienced analyst who has a problem solving mindset, a strong skill set for data analysis and is naturally curious about the three sides of our marketplace. The role offers significant opportunity to learn and deliver large impact as part of a dynamic and fast growing team at Deliveroo. The culture within the team is informal, fast-paced and entrepreneurial. Given the growth of the business and the senior stakeholder exposure, progression in the team can be fast.
Success in this role will require development of effective working relationships across Deliveroo; particularly the link with Operations, Commercial and Finance teams.
