We are seeking an exceptional candidate to support the Worldwide Go-To-Market (GTM) functions.
As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to optimize headcount and personnel costs while also controlling and analyzing sales cost trends. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with senior leadership to forecast workforce needs, develop comprehensive cost management strategies, and provide insightful sales cost analysis. Your work will be essential in aligning our financial goals with our business objectives, ensuring both efficiency and profitability.
You will leverage advanced analytics and strategic vision to drive impactful decisions that support our company's growth and operational excellence. By identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices, you will contribute to the continuous enhancement of our financial and operational processes. Your ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations will make you a key player in our strategic planning initiatives.
The role requires a high level of cross-group collaboration, analytical skills, and experience in influencing others. You will have the unique opportunity to lead and influence a core part of Pure's strategy and be instrumental for Finance to provide value added analysis to the business.
It is a key position which reports to the Senior Manager, GTM Finance Shared Services and will require you to have solid communication skills, demonstrate a consistent record in business analytics and the ability to tell a story through data.
The GTM Finance Shared Services team’s vision is to commit to excellence spans across the following key areas: Insightful Reporting: Delivering precise, timely, and comprehensive financial reports that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions; In-Depth Analysis: Conducting thorough analyses to uncover actionable insights and drive strategic growth; Strategic Planning: Leading forward-thinking planning efforts to ensure our financial and operational goals are not just met but exceeded; Cutting-Edge Automation: Pioneering innovative solutions that streamline processes, reduce manual efforts, and enhance operational efficiency; Collaborative Business Partnering: Working hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to support and drive key business initiatives, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a Headcount data expert on HR data systems including but not limited to Workday, ICIMS, Greenhouse, Anaplan, etc.
- Serve as Finance Personnel cost expert and track the dynamics across different periods and scenarios.
- Convert conversations with HR partners into user-friendly data tools that are accessible to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner with Finance and Sales management on workforce planning assumptions for the headcount and personnel cost budgeting and forecasting exercises.
- Assist in setting Specialist and Overlay Sales team strategy, desired headcount ratios, and quarterly trends
- Build, create and maintain reports and dashboards to identify macro and micro trends, data modeling and historical data views with the use of Tableau, Workday, ICIMS, Greenhouse, Anaplan, Snowflake, MAccess and advanced business intelligence techniques.
- Develop and implement practices that assure when policy, process and systems change that associated data audits, business rules and support processes are modified to adapt.
- Create, assist with and/or manage project plans; track progress, report status, and manage project to completion, including design and implementation of required communications and training.
- Work to revise data/metric collection methods to improve data accuracy and relevance and participate in the development of new data sources and collection methods.
- Prepare monthly actuals vs budget analysis and review with business partners.
- Develop and maintain recurring sales management reporting packages summarizing key HC trends and analysis.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support key business decisions.
- Drive continuous process improvement and best practices sharing. Standardize and automate reporting to scale the business.
- Upload Budget and maintain Forecast data upload into Anaplan.
- Perform variance analysis to understand the root cause and potential solutions to deviations relative to plan or forecast
- Conduct an analysis of risks and opportunities to help drive cost optimization and business growth
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 3-5+ years of experience in FP&A. Advanced Proficiency in complex financial modeling and predictive data analytics is highly desired.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast paced and ambiguous environment, simultaneously manage multiple priorities and challenge the status quo to drive change and process improvement.
- Solid understanding of HR including personnel cost dynamics, financial and accounting fundamentals. Analytical and strategic thinker.
- Ability to handle highly confidential HR information in a professional manner.
- Great systems experience, in particular: Workday, ICIMS, Greenhouse, Salesforce, Anaplan, NetSuite, SAP, Snowflake, Tableau, or similar systems. High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases. Proficiency in SQL or database programming languages is a plus.
- Attention to detail when necessary and ability to synthesize large volumes of data and summarize into presentation/management views.
- Experience in technology industries or sales finance or sales operations is a plus.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills, collaborative, and a strong team player.
- BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA a plus.
