Are you enthusiastic about investigative work and adept at assessing the effectiveness of fraud detection measures? Do you have the skills and experience to identify patterns? Then we’re looking for you! Come and join our international Fraud team as our new Fraud Investigator and help us enhance online trust and protect consumers and businesses worldwide.
As our Fraud Investigator, you’ll investigate suspicious activity, validate model decisions, and analyze review patterns to ensure Trustpilot’s trustworthiness and platform reliability. Combining analytical skills with a meticulous approach, you’ll uncover misuse and enhance detection capabilities, safeguarding Trustpilot’s brand against fraudulent behavior.
What you'll be doing:
- Validate the accuracy and effectiveness of our fraud detection using in-house tools.
- Conduct performance analyses and fraud investigations, presenting findings in clear, factual, and informative reports for stakeholders.
- Prevent and combat attempted fraudulent behavior on Trustpilot’s platform.
- Localize and act on bad actors that attempt to facilitate fraud and misuse.
- Cooperate with Legal, Engineering, Data Science, and other departments across Trustpilot by sharing expertise necessary for building fraud detection tools and technologies that help us to scale better and work more efficiently.
- Escalate and support where misuse & fraud patterns are identified.
- Assist the Fraud team with the development, identification, creation, and maintenance of policies and procedures for validation and investigation operations.
- Be part of the Fraud team’s efforts to continuously improve our internal processes.
Who you are:
- Demonstrated expertise in validating detection systems and evaluating their performance.
- Solid experience in conducting investigations with a proven ability to identify patterns and outliers to combat misuse.
- Well-developed critical thinking and interpretative skills, capable of transforming evidence into clear, factual, and informative reports.
- Highly meticulous and detail-oriented, with a commitment to handling every case with precision and care.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic, able to work individually as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communicator, skilled in delivering findings in a clear, actionable, and stakeholder-friendly manner.
