Global Process Owner – Financial Products

Location: Sofia | Full-time | Office-based

Are you a SAP experienced Finance professional who wants to progress beyond complex operational accounting and take ownership of global financial processes?

At SumUp, we are looking for a senior finance expert who combines strong SAP expertise with financial process ownership, automation mindset, and cross-functional leadership experience in a fast-growing international fintech environment.

This is not a traditional accounting role.This is a strategic process leadership position with direct impact on scalability, compliance, and digital transformation.

  What You’ll Be Doing

You will own and optimize end-to-end accounting flows for financial products such as transactions, e-money, and lending, ensuring they are scalable, compliant, and automated.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and continuously improving global accounting processes

  • Driving SAP S/4HANA and FICO enhancements and integrations

  • Leading automation and digitalization initiatives (ERP, AI tools, system integrations)

  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and SOX

  • Designing reconciliation frameworks and safeguarding data integrity

  • Acting as a key bridge between Finance, ERP, Engineering, Product, Treasury, and Risk teams

  • Translating business needs into technical requirements (JIRA, sprint coordination, backlog prioritization)

  • Supporting audit readiness and strengthening internal controls with a strict ICFR framework

You will directly contribute to making SumUp’s accounting operations more efficient, scalable, and future-ready.

This role is particularly suitable for senior SAP Finance professionals who want broader impact and influence without necessarily moving into large team management.

  What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP Financial Modules (S/4HANA, FICO, ERP implementations)

  • Strong understanding of financial products and accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP)

  • Experience in financial services, banking, or fintech

  • Project management experience (Agile, Lean, or transformation initiatives)

  • Strong analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and results

ACCA/CIMA studies or certifications are considered an advantage.
