Global Resource Manager
Location: This role is available for hybrid work (2 days in office) from our offices in Chicago, London, Bucharest or Ghent, or from the US hub cities (Boston, Austin, New York) where we connect 2 times a month in co-working spaces.
Position Overview:
To support our rapid growth and innovation, Showpad is hiring a Global Resource Manager – Professional Services. In a professional services organization, people are the most important asset. Their continuous growth and development and assignment to the right opportunities is critical to the firm’s overall ability to continuously improve and expand its services offering and optimally serve customers. In this role, the Global Resource Manager will be accountable for utilisation of Showpad’s in-house Professional Services billable resources (e.g. Consultants), as well as their continuous growth and development to ensure the team have the right skillsets to apply to project demands. You will work collaboratively with the Global Directors of each Service Line to ensure their projects are staffed optimally and Showpad Professional Services has a strong pipeline of talent and delivery capabilities across a broad range of service lines. You will own and lead Consultant enablement and engagement, including creating a kickass environment in which Consultants feel they’re thriving.
The role is heavily people-focused, built on establishing strong working relationships with several key stakeholders across Professional Services and Showpad.
This role will report into the VP, Professional Services.
Key Responsibilities:

Resource planning and optimizing resource utilization

Manage staffing requests and coordination with Staffing Service Line Leaders

Ensure projects are appropriately staffed in an efficient and timely manner

Coordinating and continuously improving staffing processes, including maintaining up-to-date process documentation

Direct Line Manager responsibility to team of Generalists Consultants team

Coordinate team-wide enablement with the support and input of Use Case Domain Leaders and Service Domain Leads
Skills we are looking for:
- 3+ years experience in people development, work allocation, and/or resource management, ideally within a large professional services and/or customer support environment with proven results of driving high levels of morale and team performance
- Strong leadership, delegation, project management, and coaching skills to successfully drive resource optimisation within the professional services team.
- Experience in a high-growth software/SaaS environment
- Passion for making customers successful and commitment to providing an effortless customer experience
- Fluency in English
- Outstanding skills in diplomacy and negotiation
- Proactive and resourceful; takes initiative
- Strong technology skills
- Experience working with resource management software is a plus
- Flexibility with working outside of standard business hours to address staffing requests, as needed or pre-agreed
