GTM Mission Lead Loonshots

You will be instrumental in transforming SumUp from a single product company to a leading product-ecosystem provider.

As Go-to-market lead you will spearhead end-to-end responsibility for SumUp loonshot products, including Online Store, Invoices and Lending, setting ambitious business targets, and cultivating a highly motivated cross-functional team. You will drive growth metrics, oversee product improvement initiatives, and foster strong stakeholder connections to ensure market fit and success in achieving organizational objectives.

This role offers the opportunity to make an impact as the commercial leader of SumUp’s upcoming new products.

What you’ll do 

  • Own the GTM for our loonshot products and make it your personal mission to make them successful and hit the targets
  • Lead the Loonshots GTM  team and be the point of contact for all Loonshot related GTM questions. Sets the targets and priorities your team, ensure all channels efforts are targeted and aligned and evaluate the delivery and provides feedback. 
  • Create in-depth understanding of the Loonshot products, merchant data and current GTM initiatives 
  • Further develop go-to-market strategy and a 6-12 months execution plan for each loonshot by collaborating with key stakeholders on a daily basis to identify and define growth opportunities, set ambitious growth goals, and devise strategic plans to achieve them. 
  • Together with the channel experts in your team, leverage data and metrics to measure the success of growth initiatives, identify areas of improvement, and make data-driven decisions to optimise performance continually.
  • Encourage your channel experts to conduct A/B testing and experimentation to validate hypotheses and find effective ways to improve user acquisition, activation, and retention strategies.
  • Overlook pricing for the loonshot product in different channels
  • Develop ICPs (Ideal Customer Profile) for each loonshot in top 5 markets 
  • Develop and foster good working relationships with Channel Leads, Chapter Leads, Product managers, Product tribe leadership, and EU GTM leadership.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape, and ensure that these insights are communicated to the product team to stay informed and capitalize on potential growth opportunities.
  • Identify potential partnerships and collaborations with other fintech companies, financial institutions, or relevant entities to expand the customer base and reach new markets

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 5+years experience in Marketing, Growth Roles or Product Marketing
  • You have experience in setting up, leading  and evaluating multiple complex projects, including resource planning, effective risk and stakeholder management
  • You have experience in developing a strategy how to execute growth campaigns across performance marketing, CRM, retail and partnerships channels
  • You have strong “business case” acumen (back of the envelope assessment)
  • You are great at inspiring open feedback flowing in the team and help others to become stronger at giving and receiving feedback
