Hardware Engineer Intern (Summer 2026)
We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.
This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.
THE ROLE
Join the Hardware Development Team to bridge the gap between academic theory and high-performance storage innovation. You will own an interesting hardware project—distinct from standard coursework—that contributes directly to products that we currently support as well as new platforms in development. Intern projects directly contribute to the success of Pure and often become integrated into a shipping product. This is a great opportunity to work on real-world projects, develop engineering skills, and gain valuable work experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own a Core Engineering Project: Drive a 12-week technical project focused on PCBA circuit or FPGA/Verilog design/validation work.
- Validate High-Speed Systems: Utilize advanced lab equipment, including oscilloscopes and signal generators, to debug and verify digital systems, ensuring hardware performance meets rigorous architectural KPIs.
- Develop Automated Testing Tools: Build and refine test scripts using Python or C/C++ to streamline the hardware verification process and increase the speed of platform deployment.
- Collaborate on Cross-Functional Design: Partner with senior engineers to review CAD layouts and schematic captures, contributing to the physical realization of complex semiconductor and circuit architectures.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the {{OFFICE_LOCATION}} office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Academic Foundation in Engineering: Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Core Hardware Competency: Practical experience or advanced coursework in circuit design, digital systems, semiconductor devices, and system architecture.
- Technical Toolset: Proficiency in C/C++ or scripting languages (like Python) and a working knowledge of CAD systems for hardware design and signal processing analysis.
- Laboratory & Debugging Skills: Hands-on experience operating lab diagnostics tools (such as oscilloscopes) to troubleshoot complex electrical signaling and system-level issues.
- Professional Drive: A proven ability to manage project deadlines independently while thriving in a highly collaborative, team-centric engineering environment.
