Job Description

As the Head of Finance (m/f/x) at KONUX, you will report directly to the CFO and play a crucial role in our financial planning and forecasting. Your passion for numbers and strategic thinking will make you a key financial partner for the leadership team. You will ensure our accounting is precise and compliant with both local GAAP and US GAAP, leading a dynamic team in FP&A, controlling, and accounting, with a primary focus on our German entity.

As our company grows and establishes more international subsidiaries, you will manage day-to-day finance operations in these new entities, tailoring setups to meet local requirements. You will also contribute to expanding other finance functions, such as tax, treasury, and investor relations, based on organizational needs.

Your Impact 
    • Present monthly, quarterly, and annual business performance reports with financial and non-financial metrics to stakeholders and executives.
    • Lead the annual and quarterly financial planning processes.
    • Manage annual financial and local tax audits.
    • Support the CFO in strategic financial activities such as fundraising, investor meetings, and M&A.
    • Support the CFO with the IPO process (therefore, experience with pre-IPO companies is desirable)
    • Ensure accurate accounting and closing procedures for the German entity, coordinating with international teams.
    • Oversee automated finance and accounting processes using advanced technologies.
    • Establish a KPI-driven team for informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with global tax advisors to meet international tax requirements.
    • Act as a financial business partner to all departments.
    • Prepare materials and presentations for board meetings.
    • Coordinate with global auditors on annual audits and other auditing processes.
    • Own budget planning, preparation, and monthly monitoring.
    • Manage financial controls of the organization.

 

To be successful in this role, youโ€™ll need to have
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Head of Finance in an international SaaS technology organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in German and English
  • Proven experience in building and developing finance teams in high-paced environments; public company experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in German GAAP (HGB) and US GAAP.
  • IT-savvy with a good understanding of IT systems in finance; VBA/coding experience preferred.
  • Experience in global treasury management.
  • Experience with major global auditors such as KPMG.
  • Experience working with technology investors like VCs/PEs and other funds.
  • Desirable experience with pre-IPO companies.
  • Willingness to travel quarterly for projects/meetings.
  • Strong skills and experience in managing finance departments.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality for necessary groundwork.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
