YOUR MISSION
Strategically lead and execute the company's government relations efforts in Portugal, cultivating strong relationships with key governmental bodies, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. You will be instrumental in shaping public policy outcomes that align with our business objectives, anticipating legislative and regulatory changes, and advocating for our interests to ensure a favorable operating environment for the company.
THE JOURNEY
- Define, manage, and execute the non-market strategy of Glovo in Portugal.
- Work across Glovo with different teams (Legal, Operations, Commercial, People, etc.) to identify the policy relevance of their strategies and needs, taking action accordingly.
- Evaluate and understand the Portuguese political landscape and regulatory environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Be an active part of the Portuguese leadership team
- Design policy papers and proposals that could contribute to enriching public consultations and discussions.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- 5+ years of progressive Government Relations, Public Affairs, or Public Policy/PR experience, preferably in food service, tech, or delivery industries. We’re open to candidates who’ve been leaders in other careers (e.g. legal & corporate affairs, industrial relations, public sector) and may be looking for a career change.
- An overwhelming passion for tech and the digital economy. Previous work experience in a startup or high-demand environment is a plus.
- Superior understanding of the social, economic, and political context in areas affecting the business and policy goals of Glovo.
- The attitude of a self-starter, the versatility of a chameleon, the vision of a day-dreamer, and the pragmatism of someone who knows that the world can be changed only KPI after KPI.
- Native Portuguese speaker and fluent in English.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law, International Relations, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven track record in regulatory affairs and government relations.
