Welcome to the video first world

From your everyday PowerPoint presentations to Hollywood movies, AI will transform the way we create and consume content. Today, people want to watch and listen, not read — both at home and at work. If you’re reading this and nodding, check out our brand video.

Despite the clear preference for video, communication and knowledge sharing in the business environment are still dominated by text, largely because high-quality video production remains complex and challenging to scale—until now….

Meet Synthesia

We're on a mission to make video easy for everyone. Born in an AI lab, our AI video communications platform simplifies the entire video production process, making it easy for everyone, regardless of skill level, to create, collaborate, and share high-quality videos. Whether it's for delivering essential training to employees and customers or marketing products and services, Synthesia enables large organizations to communicate and share knowledge through video quickly and efficiently. We’re trusted by leading brands such as Heineken, Zoom, Xerox, McDonald’s and more. Read stories from happy customers and what 1,200+ people say on G2.

In 2023, we were one of 7 European companies to reach unicorn status. In February 2024, G2 named us as the fastest growing company in the world. We’ve raised over $150M in funding from top-tier investors, including Accel, Nvidia, Kleiner Perkins, Google and top founders and operators including Stripe, Datadog, Miro, Webflow, and Facebook.

About the role

We’re seeking our first-ever Head of Partnerships to join Synthesia and support our mission of making video accessible for all. Using your extensive experience in scoping, implementing, and securing partnerships, you will be responsible for driving revenue at Synthesia through these initiatives. We are open to hiring this person in the UK or in the US, providing you're located in an East Coast time zone.

We’re incredibly excited about the impact partnerships will have on our customers and our revenue streams. Just as Bluetooth made it easier for companies like Samsung and Apple to share audio, we believe that integrating and partnering Synthesia with the world’s leading brands will simplify the creation, use, and sharing of video, thereby directly enhancing information retention.

The successful Partnerships function will create a new and exciting source of new business, speed up our time to market, and create competitive moats for Synthesia. No one has done video AI partnerships and integrations before—we are defining a new category, so we need someone who has experience with a challenger product in a rapidly scaling environment.

What you will do…

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy that will increase sales win rates and product usage post-sale (boosting CSAT, engagement, and retention).
  • Help us define the hypotheses we want to test, then map out the universe of partnerships within our existing Sales + Success framework (prospects & customers).
  • Develop short-term and long-term strategies, prioritizing partner accounts and evolving others.
  • Identify new partners and establish collaborations to increase Synthesia’s market impact.
  • Create and refine a scalable partnerships playbook that covers pricing, partnership scoping, technical engagement, and objection handling.
  • Structure new types of agreements.
  • Provide feedback to the product/project management team.

We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You’re a partnerships expert who has built and run this function in relevant high-growth SaaS environments, where you’ve driven creative partnerships across multiple verticals.
  • You’ve operated in value-driven, methodical sales environments (ideally using MEDDPICC and Command of the Message frameworks).
  • You have a strong aptitude for technical language and have partnered closely with Product and Customer Implementation before.
  • You have multiple examples of how your partnership expertise and programs have increased sales win rates and product usage post-sale
  • You possess a quantitative and analytical mindset, with the ability to create data-driven sales forecasts and reports.
  • You are proactive and hands-on, ready to launch our program before building your own team.
  • You’re a warm, inclusive, collaborative individual who also wants to make the journey fun!

We’d be particularly excited if you have…

  • Experience with a video-first, gen AI product.
